Wow, this has got me feeling quite emotional. I'm not quite sure why but I care more about my brother than my parents even though we're not really close. I think I'm holding on to the past when we used to be close. Reading this, especially, the part 'You don't have to love your brother' and how one day I realize that he never sends me bday presents or calls makes me feel sad and hurt but it's the truth. We don't choose our family but we choose whether we love them or not. Thanks for this!
